Loving Lately

I hope everyone is having a great summer! I am loving the long, lazy days. That being said, I have also come across some very cool products that I would love to share with you. Here is what I have been loving lately.

Doshi creates vegan accessories geared towards the eco-friendly fashionista. They offer a very chic collection of vegan leather briefcases, backpacks, belts, and accessories. Motivated to help the environment, the brand even created a program in which the first 5% of all profitable sales are donated to various non-profits benefiting animals and the environment. How cool is that?

I have been rocking this large vegan briefcase that fits my laptop, files, and then some. It is made of a high-quality microfiber shell that you would swear was actual leather. There are several zippered and open interior pockets for storage.

This bag is so cute it could really be used for anything. I might be using it for my teacher bag. I could even be used as your everyday handbag. It is a perfect size and has so much organization. I love it!

Speaking of vegan, these two hand creams do not contain any components of animal origin. My hands get dry in the summer and I love both of these. The first is a shea butter hand cream from Kneipp. The nourishing, plant-based formula of shea butter, almond oil, and magnolia moisturizes hands and prevents them from drying out. It is especially rich and leaves my skin feeling pleasantly soft.

The other is a velvety hand cream loaded with the finest oils available in nature. Carefully selected, these oils soothe and protect, leaving your skin silky smooth and bursting with vitality. The unusual scent combination of citrus, basil, and fennel is both bold and feminine. The packaging is pretty too!

I love a summer getaway. MALIN+GOETZ makes it easy to just get up and go with this travel essentials kit. It includes all of their best sellers for face, body, and hair. It even comes in a TSA approved pouch! This kit includes the gentle Grapefruit Face Cleanser, intensely hydrating Vitamin E Face Moisturizer, the refreshing Bergamot Body Cleanser, and nourishing Vitamin B5 Body Moisturizer. The Peppermint Shampoo with amino acid-based cleansing agents will leave hair balanced and purified, while the Cilantro Conditioner imbues your hair with body and shine.

Time for summer hair essentials! Unfortunately, a few days in the sun is awful for your hair. The experts at Hotheads shared these tips on how to help your hair survive summer. Look for UV inhibitors in all of your leave-in hair products. Wear a hat - especially when you’re anticipating a full day of outdoor activities where shade will be scarce. If you’re planning on swimming in a pool, remember to dampen hair before taking a dip. When showering after the pool, rinse hair well to remove some of the surface chlorine or other minerals deposited on the hair.

In your beach bag, you should carry your sunscreen, but also a compact hair brush like the Mini G! It’s the perfect little brush to distribute your leave-in products before heading out into the sun. Great for detangling after a swim, the Mini G also helps remove sand debris from the scalp and hair. Finishing your day at the beach using the Mini G will reduce frizz and help create the perfect ponytail.

Also available in a larger size, the large paddle grooming brush features the same unique 3D bristle pattern. Regular use of a Hotheads paddle brush will help to improve the quality and health of the hair and scalp. Both sizes feel so good and do not tangle or pull my hair.

Throw some Scünci spiral ponytailers in your hair for a unique look. Yes, they look like some kind of jelly accessory from the 80s, but they do hold all hair types. The unique design won't dent your look, so they are perfect for both my curly and straight hair days.

What do you do when you want to sport those cute pumps or flats in the summer? You get sweat, odors, blisters, and sensitive skin rubbed raw. Unless you use Keysocks. Classic Keysocks are no show socks that don't slip, unlike those awful footies. They feel like a comfy dress sock but don't show with long pants or a maxi. They are perfect for flats, heels, booties, Toms, Converse, Vans, and more.

I also tried Keysocks Barely There no show socks. This is that light version that provides a super thin protective layer of fabric between your foot and your shoe. Specially designed fabric keeps feet cool and wicks sweat while a strategically placed keyhole cut out on the top of the sock gives you the barefoot look. Finally, a nylon that comfortably stays in place and out of sight.

I already told you about Vera Bradley coloring books, but there are two new books that I have been enjoying. Enjoy the Journey features 40 classic Vera Bradley designs, each eye-catching illustration is printed on extra-heavy, 200-year acid-free artist paper. A quick reference pattern guide provides the original Vera Bradley color schemes for every named pattern in the book, with stunning original patterns also shown in two-page spreads.

The other book is called Seize the Day. A full-color introduction shows you coloring techniques, craft ideas, and the right color swatches to use for a terrific look. Featuring a gold foil-embossed gatefold cover, this unique book even includes 16 bonus gift tags and 8 ready-to-color note cards. Get ready to color in the language of beauty with Vera Bradley! Don't be like the rest of them, darling!
