I do like hot tea, but being it is so hot right now, I decided to try some of the iced teas from Adagio. I used the glass pitcher from Adagio to brew my iced teas. The 40 oz. size is perfect for the cold-brew iced tea pouches. Simply place overnight in a pitcher of water. Awake to find a tea rich in flavor and aroma, at a price that's a fraction of the supermarket-bought teas. For quicker preparation, you can also steep in hot water for five minutes and add ice. That is what I did in the photo above.
The first tea that I tried is ceylon sonata iced tea. This is a premium black tea from Sri Lanka with a bright and lively classic iced tea flavor. I would compare it to iced tea you would have in a fine restaurant. A bold and flavorful black tea. I love it with lemon and a but of sugar. So refreshing and delicious!
Next up is blood orange iced tea. This is a premium herbal tea that contains an herbal mixture of blood orange peels, hibiscus flowers, and rose hips. It's naturally caffeine-free, so it's perfect anytime of the day. This is one that I like to enjoy after work. I don't need any more caffeine at that point in the day, so this is perfect. It is robust herbal flavor with a hint of tangy.
Finally, the tea that didn't last very long in my house, our favorite - citron green iced tea. This is a full-leaf green tea which contains green tea from China with the citrus crispness of lemon and lime. Yes, it is as good as it sounds. We love green tea for the health benefits and when you add the extra citrus, it is basically perfection. It is so refreshing, not too dry, and not too citrusy. Just right. I need to re-order this one right away.
