It's Fall and that means the series premieres have started.
So what is really worth watching this season?
Here are my top 5 picks.

1. Suburgatory
Single dad takes teenage girl from the city to the suburbs. Neighbors and classmates are over-the-top stereotypical which makes it funny.

I miss LOST. Bad. I find myself seeing a little Ben Linus in Michael Emerson's character, Finch. He plays a computer genius who developed a machine for the government that is used to detect information leading to acts of terrorism before they happen. He enlists the help of John Reese, an ex-CIA to help him save the irrelevant people from the machine. You can definitely tell that J.J. Abrams is involved. I like it so far.

3. New Girl
This is not getting great reviews and that bothers me. I like this show. I will admit it would not be much without Zooey Deschanel. But it is still a good show based around Zooey's quirky yet funny singing-to-herself character Jess.

4. Pan Am
I am usually not a fan of a period piece. But there is something about this show I like. It has a great story line surrounding the main characters, the stewardesses of Pan Am circa the 1960s. Passion, jealousy and espionage... They do it all - and they do it at 30,000 feet.

5. Up All Night
A hilarious look at parenthood from the very funny couple played by Christina Applegate and Will Arnett. I love that I can actually relate to them. Some of their characteristics remind me of my husband and I's relationship. This show actually made me laugh out loud and I don't do that very often.
