Enjoy Some FlipFlop Wine This Summer {Review}

Flip Flop Wines: To Each, Their Own
With flipflop wines, we have embraced the movement toward individualistic expression, instead of manufacturing wines into some cookie-cutter style that’s all the rage. Our goal is to craft expressive, well-balanced wines that evoke just what the grapes inside intended, without being over-wrought or over-explained, and that can be enjoyed at any occasion.

I was once again given the great opportunity to review FlipFlop Wines. In my first review I was able to try the Riesling and the Pinot Grigio. This time I had the pleasure of reviewing the Chardonnay and the Cabernet Sauvignon.

Tastes like: Medium bodied with pineapple, soft vanilla and a long lingering finish

I love that every bottle contains an easy to read label showing the level of dry to sweet. This wine is medium dry. I did not know what long lingering finish meant until I tasted this. It has a rather strong taste that stays with you. I tend to like sweet wines so I was not sure if I would like it. But I did! I still found it enjoyable and loved the oak notes. This wine should be chilled and will nicely compliment mac and cheese or a chicken Caesar salad.

Tastes like: Full-bodied with blackberry fruit, dark cherries and a long lingering finish

This was my first opportunity to try a red FlipFlop wine. I tend to choose whites so I was not sure if I would like it. This is a dry wine and I picked up on the dark fruits in it right away.  This was my husband's favorite of the two. I would need to get used to drinking red wine just because you should serve it at room temperature. However, I cheated and added an ice cube after a few sips. I liked it better! "To each their own" just as FlipFlop Wines would say! It perfectly pairs with New York strip steak, spinach ravioli and Portobello mushrooms. Enjoy a video tasting with Vinter, David Georges!

FlipFlop Wines offers a collection of seven wines ranging from Chardonnay and Moscato for whites and Merlot and Pinot Noir for reds. These wines are only $7 a bottle! You may order Flip Wine wines online. I also was able to find FlipFlop Wines at my local Kroger! Just look for the cool Hawaiian flip flops on the bottle!! Out of the four wines I have tasted from FlipFlop Wines so far, the Pinot Grigio is still my favorite! Read my review of the Pinot Grigio!

One of my favorite things about this fabulous wine is the fact that they give back! They have teamed up with Soles4Souls, a charity that distributes shoes to children in need. "The wines get an extra amount of care knowing that a pair of flip flop sandals will be given to a person in need for each flipflop bottle purchased. Great wine that does good!" says Vintner, David Georges. There are more than 300 million children in the world without shoes, and FlipFlop Wines is helping by putting shoes on more than 100,000 feet!

What an amazing collaboration!
