I just spent a week in Boston. My husband and I had some amazing seafood while we were there. From Lobster Rolls to New England Seafood Chowder, here are some fantastic seafood recipes inspired by our trip!
Lobster Rolls :: This is a classic New England lobster roll. The Maine Lobster Meat is showcased in a simple mayonnaise dressing with no fancy seasonings. This salad is also great over greens for a main dish.
Steamed Lobster :: My husband ordered his first whole steamed lobster in Boston. Mmm ... is there anything better than a big bite of lobster dunked in butter?!
Maine Lobster Pie :: Pie made from fresh, sweet chunks of lobster meat? I must try this.
Beer-Battered Cod :: Fish and Chips is such a classic meal. Always a crowd pleaser.
Oysters with Watermelon and Lemon Relish :: What a unique combination. It sounds so refreshing!
New England Seafood Chowder :: Creamy, rich, not overly thick, and jam-packed with hunks of seafood: just the way seafood chowder should be.
Crab Cakes with Rémoulade Sauce :: So smart! This recipe uses shrimp with a celery and onion mousse to bind the crab meat.
New England Clambake :: Savor the flavors of a classic New England Clambake. This stove top version is perfect for a staycation.
Seared Scallops and Herb Butter Sauce :: Seared scallops are quick-cooking, sweet, and tender. The herb butter sauce makes them delectable.
Lobster Mac and Cheese :: I saw this on many menus in Boston. Creamy and cheesy with a bit of crunch with heaping chunks of lobster. Divine.
Baked Scrod With Lemon Herb Panko Crumbs :: I did not know what scrod was until I visited Boston. It is young cod! Seasoned with lemon butter, you can't go wrong.
Shrimp Bake :: This Garlicky Shrimp Bake is so delicious and so simple! It should be called Simple Sensational Shrimp Bake!
New England is swarming with seafood. It is on practically every menu making it easy to try new things. I hope you enjoy these recipes inspired by New England cuisine.
