Rock of Ages :: Re-Live the Totally Rockin' 80's

Are you ready to rock?! I grew up in the 80's and I absolutely love the music from that decade. I also love musicals, so this movie was a win-win for me! "Rock of Ages" rolls into stores on Tuesday, October 9 on DVD. If you didn't see it in theaters, you will not want to miss it on DVD.

Rock of Ages tells the story of small town girl Sherrie and city boy Drew, who meet on the Sunset Strip while pursuing their Hollywood dreams. Their rock 'n' roll romance is told through the heart-pounding hits of Def Leppard, Joan Jett, Journey, Foreigner, Bon Jovi, Night Ranger, REO Speedwagon, Pat Benatar, Twisted Sister, Poison, Whitesnake and more.

"Rock of Ages" is not only fun to watch due to the nostalgia, it also has a great story. My favorite story line was that of Sherrie and Drew who were chasing their rock'n'roll dreams. You also have the story of rock god Stacee Jaxx, who happens to be played by Tom Cruise. Also in the movie are Russell Brand, Alec Baldwin, Paul Giamatti and even Mary J. Blige. The cameos by 80's music stars like Debbie Gibson and Sebastian Bach were a very nice touch!

The hair, the clothes, the music, everything that was fabulous about the 80's is showcased. Take those elements and add in great acting, the musical tie in and great story ... I couldn't ask for more! "Rock of Ages" is the perfect choice for date night! Don't forget to also pick up the totally awesome soundtrack which includes hits like 'Paradise City', 'Can't Fight This Feeling' and 'Don't Stop Believin'.

Buy It :: You can purchase "Rock of Ages" on DVD at bestbuy.com on or after October 9.
