Here is my mobile mishap story! I am very careful with my phone. I always have it with me and I make sure it is protected with a case, a screen cover and everything! So one day my husband and I went out for dinner. We had a lovely time and left the restaurant. When I got home I realized I could not find my phone anywhere! I searched my bag, the car, my house ... it was nowhere to be found. My heart just dropped at all of the information that I had on my phone! I would lose everything from contacts to my calendar just like that! I did not know what to do!

Finally, my husband had an idea to call my phone. That is what we did and a nice lady answered. She said she found my phone at the restaurant. I was so relieved! She told me where she was and I met her to pick it up! I was lucky! What if the wrong person had found my phone? They could have kept it, sold it or worse! Don't take that kind of chance with your important information!

  2. My husband bought me a new cell phone - no bells or whistles. But elated nonetheless. Was sitting on a bench at my sons elementary school, learning to send text messages (Silly but so proud). Bell Rang, rushed inside, left phone on the bench. With my heart in my throat and tears in my eyes tore out of there like a tornado - thank God it was still there. Was a TWEET moment.

  17. It's always my husband with the phone issues. One time he dropped in the a drink in the center console of the car. The sound never worked that great afterwards. Another time he left in on top of the car and drove off. We never found that phone. Oh, and I guess I did have a mishap. I got a dog from a friend that couldn't care for him anymore. She asked me to put the phone to his ear and the dog bit the phone and cracked the screen.

On Halloween, while getting the kids buckled in their car seats, getting ready to bring my kids over to see their Grandparents, I happened to put my phone on the roof of my car, freeing my hands for a moment. We headed over to my parents, did some trick or treating with the kids and drove home. When we were right before our house, I saw my car phone...in the street in pieces. A few cars must have driven over it. I was heartbroken.

I think the worst though was my husband losing his phone at the airport, someone finding the phone and telling us they were going to mail it to us and then having them fall through and not mail the phone. All the pictures and videos we lost. Blah!

The phone refused to turn on for 2 days and then like magic, it suddenly came on. It doesn't work quite the same, but at least it wasn't a total loss!

  188. I dropped my boss off at the airport using his brand new truck. On the way back home on the highway it started to rain. New truck, first time driving and I hydroplaned and turned the truck sideways in the road on a very narrow bridge. I was talking on speaker phone to a friend when it happened and my new Blackberry went flying off the seat into the floor board. Not concerned with the phone I got the truck under control. I pulled off the road to retrieve the phone and catch my breath and another driver that had been behind me pulled over and yelled out the window, "Great driving. I thought you were a goner!!" Well, I was okay but the phone wasn't. I had to wait until I got home to call my friend back and by then she had called the state troopers to see if I had been in a bad accident! So very glad I had insurance. The phone was less than 2 weeks old!
