Great Gifts for Easter and Mother's Day

Do you know someone who would like a gift that lasts this Easter or Mother's Day? You should consider the gift of potted bulbs! Potted bulbs may not be in bloom when you give the gift, but they will be a lasting gift that your recipient will treasure! They can even be replanted the following year. Bulbs are easy to find too! They can be purchased at grocery stores, garden centers and flower shops. It's as easy as Dig, Drop Done!




Planting potted bulbs is easy. This is all you have to do to make a nice plant for Easter.

Materials Needed:
  • Planter
  • Easter Eggs
  • Potted Tulip
Instructions:
  • Place potted tulip into planter.
  • (water before putting into planter)
  • Add Easter eggs into planter.

Why not create some even more extravagant  Easter projects using potted bulbs? Here is an idea to make a beautiful twine planter using Potted Tulip, Calla Lily and Daffodils. 


Materials Needed:
  • Twine Planter
  • Potted Tulip, Calla Lily and
  • Daffodil
  • Soil
Instructions:
  • Place potted bulbs into planter
  • (water before putting into
  • planter)
  • Add soil on top to cover bulbs.
  • Add more soil to cover pots
  • and bulbs.
  • Water sparingly every day.
After Care:
Once flowers are spent, plant bulbs in your garden right away or store until next fall to plant.

How about some Indoor Potted Bulbs with Daffodils?


Materials Needed:
  • Easter Basket
  • Excelsior
  • Potted Daffodils (2)
Instructions:
  • Place potted daffodils into basket.
  • (water before putting into basket)
  • Add excelsior into basket to cover dirt.
  • Water sparingly every day.
After Care:
Once flowers are spent, plant daffodil bulbs in your garden right away or store until next fall to plant.

You can even use crocus! Here is a project for Indoor Potted Bulbs with Crocus.


Materials Needed:
  • Planter
  • Excelsior
  • Potted Crocus
Instructions:
  • Place potted crocus into planter.
  • (water before putting into planter)
  • Add excelsior into planter to cover dirt.
  • Water sparingly every day.
After Care:
Once flowers are spent, plant crocus bulbs in your garden right away or store until next fall to plant.

Remember any of these projects can be adjusted to create a Mother's Day Gift!
