Do you remember your first car? I do. My first car was a silver hatchback hand me down from my mom! Let's call her Silvia! While visiting www.firstcarstory.com I was reminded of so many memories about dear Silvia! First of all, I learned how to drive in Silvia. Oh, did I mention that Silvia was a stick shift? Yes I learned how to drive using a stick shift! I remember my dad taking me out to these isolate country roads in Silvia and teaching me about clutches and gears. My poor little brother was in the back seat, probably getting whiplash from all of the stopping and going in a stick shift. But it worked! I learned how to drive Silvia very quickly! Check out my great video below which tells you another story about dear Silvia.
Yes, it is true. Silvia was the victim of a crash not long after getting my license. How sad right? It wasn't even my fault! My brother and I were on our way to school and out of nowhere this car comes straight out of a side street without even stopping! Ugh! It was so devastating to my 17 year old self! Everyone was fine thankfully ... except for Silvia. That was it for her.
But before the crash we did have some good times! Like I mentioned in the video, I suddenly became very popular with my license and my first car! Trips to the mall with friends were very frequent. It is so convenient to drive to school. I got to do errands for my parents. I loved driving and I will never forget you Silvia!
So let's hear it! I want you to tell me your first car story! Better yet, make a fun video like I created above. It was so fun to create and it brought back so many dear memories of Silvia!
Everyone loved their first car. No matter how beat up or broken down, it was a taste of freedom and you loved it. Even though it lasted only for a brief time, that emotional connection is an experience that unites us all. Check out my custom illustrated story, you can submit one too at www.firstcarstory.com and bring your story to life with animation and music and share it with your friends.
