Review :: Single Stone Studios :: Vinyl Wall Art

Single Stone Studios is a design studio specializing in vinyl wall art decals. I came across their website and just loved what they had to offer! Their fun designs fit perfectly with my taste in home decor. They have hundreds of stock-designed wall decals and can customize any of them to your specifications. They offer over 80 different colors/finishes so it will match your decor perfectly.

Here are some of my favorite designs that they offer.

Some really great designs right?!

I had a very specific space in mind when I was choosing my vinyl wall art.
Here is my before photo.

It is an odd shaped wall space with the fireplace there.
Here is the vinyl wall art I chose.

This design is called Elegant Mums and the color I chose was beige.

Step 1 :: When the vinyl wall art arrived it was all rolled up. I had to leave it sit out for a day or so until the paper lie flat.
Step 2 :: Then I laid the art on a table and gently burnished the decal. I used a plastic scraper from my kitchen to do this.
Step 3 :: Next I took some painters tape and hung the art on the wall where I wanted it to go. You are creating a hinge. This is where you would level it so it is nice and even.
Step 4 :: From the center out, gently rub the decal onto the wall with your hand. Then use your burnisher (plastic scraper) to go over all parts of the decal. Don't forget the intricate details of your art. Get them down as much as possible so you have an easier time in step 5.
Step 5 :: Gently pull back the top layer of the vinyl. I like to pull back at an angle. You need to pay attention if you see any that is not sticking to the wall. Push it back down with your finger and keep going. Go slow!

Step 6 :: After the transfer tape is removed, I like to go back and work in any areas of the decal with my fingers. This is especially important in my case because I applied the decal to a textured wall.

So what do you think? I am really happy with how it turned out! The color looks perfect and the shape of the decal fit right into my space. I think I am going to put one more piece of horizontal art right above the mums.
