Review :: Frito-Lay Snacks :: Life of the Party :: #fritofan

So I am not a sports fan at all. But my husband is and he tells me there is a big game on TV next month and people tend to like to throw a party on that day. Okay so I am not so out of the loop that I don't know what the Super Bowl is. Will I watch the Super Bowl? No. Will I partake in the party and all of the great snacks? Yes!

Frito-Lay is known for being the creators of some of our favorite part snacks including Doritos, Cheetos and Lay's potato chips. But here are a few things that maybe you didn't know.
  • We use all-natural oils, such as corn and sunflower oils, so our chips have 0 grams trans fat.
  • Most of our chips contain less salt than you think!  A 1-oz serving of Lay’s® Classic potato chips has about the same amount of sodium as a slice of white bread.
  • We use technologies that create renewable energy, such as solar panels and biomass boilers, in some of our manufacturing plants.
  • All Frito-Lay manufacturing plants are taking measures to divert at least 99 percent of waste from landfills. One way we’re doing this is by reusing our shipping cartons up to six times before recycling them, helping reduce cardboard waste.
0 grams trans fat and less salt than you think. Plus they care about the environment and take creating renewable energy and recycling seriously. Nice. I love hearing positive things about my favorite snacks!

I recently had the opportunity to try some great Frito-Lay snacks. I tried LAY'S® Classic Potato Chips, SUNCHIPS® Garden Salsa Flavored Multigrain Snacks, and TOSTITOS® Restaurant Style with a Hint of Lime Tortilla Chips. We really liked all three of the snacks.

LAY'S® Classic Potato Chips pair perfectly with a great onion dip. I like to make mine by stirring together some sour cream and onion soup mix. It is delicious and perfect for a Super Bowl party!

This was our first time trying SUNCHIPS® Garden Salsa Flavored Multigrain Snacks. My husband almost ate the whole bag before I got to try any. They are good enough to eat alone and don't need any extra dips or salsa. You can literally taste the salsa right in the chip! I liked that they were not too spicy. Sometimes I can't eat spicy salsa. They were also not too salty. They just have a strong and bold flavor.

Finally we tried the TOSTITOS® Restaurant Style with a Hint of Lime Tortilla Chips. We eat a lot of nachos in this house. Our favorite dip is the TOSTITOS® Salsa Con Queso. We tend to buy that at the big warehouse stores so we can get more than one jar at a time. It goes great with these chips. That hint of lime really gives the flavor an extra kick! I am a fan of anything lime flavored to begin with. So I was pretty sure I would like these chips, and I did. Now how do they get that flavor inside the chip?!

Speaking of TOSTITOS® check out this funny video to get you excited about the big game next month!

So when you are planning for your big Super Bowl party, don't forget to add the "life of the party" to your shopping list! Get yourself some great tasting Frito-Lay snacks!
